We don’t take shortcuts. Over the course of three to six months, young Thoroughbreds will be introduced to a variety of experiences and environments aimed at preparing them for life at the track and beyond. Their initial work is on long lines, first in a round pen and then in the arena and throughout the farm, aimed at teaching them basic cues and lessons. Soon after they’re working under saddle, both in an arena and hacking through fields and trails, independently and in company.
